Today I encountered the mythology of the dwarf planet Quaoar, and something within me immediately recognized its medicine.

Quaoar is not a creator who builds through force or command.

He sings.

He dances.

Creation begins through rhythm, vibration, relationship, and participation.

This feels profoundly different from many creation myths I have encountered. It suggests that reality is not something imposed upon the world, but something continually brought into being through conscious participation.

I found myself asking:

What if every word I speak is part of creation?

What if every ritual, every prayer, every walk beneath the trees, every loving act, every meal prepared with gratitude, every page written, every seed planted, every fire tended, and every moment of presence is already part of the song that shapes the world?

Perhaps creation is not a single event.

Perhaps it is a continual practice.

Quaoar reminds me that harmony is not passive. It is something we actively cultivate through the rhythms of daily life.

This also changes the way I think about creativity.

Creativity is not limited to painting, writing, or making beautiful things.

To forgive is creative.

To restore is creative.

To tend the land is creative.

To heal is creative.

To tell the truth is creative.

To become more fully oneself is creative.

Every act that brings greater wholeness into the world becomes part of the original song.

There is something deeply hopeful about this.

It means I do not have to force transformation.

I only need to participate faithfully.

As I reflected, another understanding quietly emerged.

Fire may be the great transformer.

Vesta may tend the sacred flame.

But before the fire ever transforms…

there is the song.

Before there is structure…

there is vibration.

Before there is manifestation…

there is intention carried upon breath.

Perhaps every true act of devotion begins this way.

Not by asking, “What can I control?”

But by asking,

“What am I helping to bring into existence?”

Today, Quaoar reminded me that I am always singing.

The only question is whether I am singing consciously.

May my thoughts become blessings.

May my words become medicine.

May my actions become devotion.

And may the song of my life, and yours, contribute, however quietly, to the continual creation of a more beautiful world. ✨
