Sacred Snark Sunday — Vol. VIII

You know that moment when you’re just trying to heal, vibe, or meditate in peace — and suddenly your ego grabs the mic like it’s karaoke night at the Shadow Lounge? Yeah. Me too.

One minute you’re having a revelation about your higher self… and the next you’re mentally crafting entire monologues to outwit imaginary critics, justify your emotional mess, or rehearse award-winning speeches for confrontations that don’t exist.

Honestly? My ego has range. Too bad it’s also dramatic, delusional, and deeply offended by boundaries.

🎭 When Your Ego Is a Method Actor

Sometimes, the ego doesn’t just hijack your voice — it becomes the voice, in full costume and character. One day it’s the victim, the next it’s the guru. And just like that, we find ourselves performing our healing rather than embodying it.

The ego isn’t evil. It’s just loud, scared, and wired for survival. But if we don’t learn to recognize its voice, we’ll confuse survival with sovereignty — and applause with alignment.

⚔️ Sacred Snark Moment of the Week:

My ego once convinced me I was setting boundaries…

…but really, I was just being passive-aggressive with a chakra necklace on.

🕯️ Ritual Nudge: The Mic Check Mirror

  • Stand in front of a mirror.
  • Take a breath. Say aloud:
“Whose voice am I hearing right now?”
  • Is it fear? Is it shame in a power suit? Is it your wounded child in a high priestess costume?
  • Listen. Breathe.
  • Then ask your soul to speak. Not for show. Not for performance. Just to remember.

đź““ Journaling Prompts:

  • When has your ego hijacked your healing?
  • What phrases do you catch yourself repeating when the ego is in charge?
(Examples: “They just don’t get me,” “This isn’t fair,” “I deserve better than this.”)
  • What would your soul say instead — if it didn’t need applause, permission, or proof?

🌑 Final Reflection:

The ego will do anything to keep us from feeling unsafe — including impersonating our highest self.

But your soul?
She’s not here to perform.
He’s not here to convince.
They’re not here to win.

The real voice of your soul doesn’t shout. It resonates.

You don’t need to exile your ego — just kindly take the mic back. Remind it that you’re not on tour anymore. You’re home.

đź’Ś Weekly Invitation:

This week, if you catch your ego mid-soliloquy, gently say:

“Thank you, darling, but we’re off-script now.”

Then walk offstage.
Back into your body.
Back into your truth.
Mic. Dropped

Until Next Time,
