Sacred Snark Sunday, Vol. IV
There are days when the incense is thick in the air, the crystals are fully charged, your altar is impeccable… and still everything goes sideways.
Your cat hisses at the wall (again), your ex texts you just as you’re pulling a “Release the Past” oracle card, and you’ve managed to knock over your moon water jar twice — once during your full moon ritual, and once while crying over it.

You know the days.
So you light more sage.
You whisper your affirmations louder.
You burn your third “cut the cords” candle of the week.
And still…
Nothing.
Nada.
Zilch.
That’s when it hits you.
You can’t sage your way out of a pattern you’re still cosigning.
It’s not the ghosts. It’s the agreements.
You can’t light enough lavender to override the contract you keep subconsciously renewing every time you say,
“I guess this is just how it is.”
🌀 “No,” says your soul.
🌀 “Not anymore,” whispers your weary inner wildling.
Because sacred work isn’t a loophole for bypassing the messy bits.
It’s an invitation to stay with the discomfort long enough to change the spell you’ve been casting with your choices.
Sometimes, the real exorcism isn’t the smoke — it’s the boundary.
The unsent text.
The refusal to perform.
Sometimes it’s the moment you say:
“Actually, no. Not this time. Not this version of me.”
So this Sunday, in all your imperfect, sacred sass,
Let this be your prayer:
“I clear not just the room, but the damn pattern.
I don’t just waft smoke. I withdraw consent.
I reclaim every spell I’ve ever cast in the name of staying small.”
🕯️ You are the altar.
🕯️ You are the sage.
🕯️ You are the sacred “nope” that makes space for something holy to rise.
Now pour a cup of tea.
Tell the ancestors they might wanna cover their ears.
Because this spell-breaking is gonna get a little… loud.

🎬 Ritual Nudge:
Light a candle, but this time — don’t set an intention.
Instead, name one agreement you’re ready to end.
Say it aloud.
Then whisper: “I withdraw consent.”
Let the wax melt it down.
✍🏻 Journaling Prompt:
Where am I still performing peace when what I need is power?
What contracts have I unconsciously agreed to… that I’m ready to cancel?
What does “I withdraw consent” look like in action this week?
